We know this world can be a challenging and heavy place. Many of us are carrying quiet burdens and facing difficult decisions every day. You may be walking through your own struggles, or you may love someone who is hurting deeply. Challenges such as depression, anxiety, addiction, broken relationships, identity questions, trauma, or overwhelming discouragement touch more lives than we often realize. For many, the weight can feel crushing, lonely, and exhausting.

If that is you, please know this: you are not alone, and you are welcome here.

This is a safe place. It is our sincere desire and privilege to pray with you and for you. No matter the situation, no matter how heavy it feels, we believe God cares deeply about every detail of your life. You are valued, you are seen, and your story matters.

Come Together in Prayer

There is something powerful about believers gathering with one purpose: prayer.

In a world filled with noise, uncertainty, and constant demands, prayer centers us. It reminds us that we are not carrying life alone. When we pray, we surrender our worries, seek God’s wisdom, and find peace in His presence. Scripture encourages us to pray continually, to lift one another up, and to trust that God hears every sincere cry of the heart.

Ellen White beautifully describes prayer in Steps to Christ as “the opening of the heart to God as to a friend.” True prayer is not merely reciting words. It is communion with God. It does not bring God down to us, but lifts us up into His presence. In prayer, our burdens grow lighter, our thoughts become clearer, and our faith is strengthened.

Prayer changes the atmosphere of the heart.
It brings peace where there was anxiety.
It brings hope where there was uncertainty.
It brings courage where there was fear.

This is why Meriden SDA Church warmly invites you to gather with us for our weekly Friday Night Prayer Meeting.

🕊 Fridays at 7:00 PM
📍 Via Zoom

Together we seek, believe, and find peace in His presence.

Whether you have a special prayer request, a testimony of God’s faithfulness, or simply a desire to sit quietly in communion with Him, you are welcome. Invite your family and friends to join.

If you would like us to pray for you, please send your prayer requests to:

Let us press together in faith. As we come before Him in prayer, He promises to draw near.

All are welcome.

Why Should We Pray Together?

Prayer is often deeply personal. It is where we bring our private hopes, fears, and questions before God. Scripture affirms the power of individual prayer, yet it also gently calls us not to pray alone all the time. There is a unique blessing found when believers come together in prayer.

Throughout the Bible, moments of united prayer are often connected with strength, healing, guidance, and renewal. When God’s people pray together, faith is shared, burdens are carried collectively, and hearts are reminded that no one is meant to walk alone. Jesus Himself emphasized this promise when He said, “For where two or three are gathered together in My name, there am I in the midst of them” (Matthew 18:20).

Praying together builds more than spiritual momentum; it builds community. It nurtures trust, humility, and compassion as we listen to one another and lift each other before God. James reminds us of this sacred exchange when he writes, “Pray for one another, that you may be healed” (James 5:16).

When we pray together, the church becomes more than a place we attend. It becomes a family that listens, supports, and believes together. In shared prayer, we are reminded that God meets us not only in quiet solitude, but also in loving community.
